Role Overview: As a Manager - Data Science at Accordion, you will lead one or more client projects to deliver various Advance Analytic solutions. You will work directly with the clients and guide the team in building robust solutions to solve clients" business problems within agreed timelines through the application of business knowledge, project management, and technical expertise. Key Responsibilities: - Manage a team and work on complex, cross-functional analytical and research-oriented projects using advanced computational, machine learning, and deep learning algorithms. - Develop proprietary algorithms for solving complex business problems while handling large amounts of structured and unstructured data. - Utilize computer science fundamentals, distributed computing, and machine learning to build scalable analytical solutions. - Ensure close collaboration between the data science team, technical team, and core business teams for designing and developing analytical solutions. - Combine business knowledge with statistical and computational techniques to provide actionable business solutions for clients. Qualifications Required: - 4-6 years of experience in applying concepts in Data Science, Machine Learning, Algorithm development, Advanced Computing, or Statistical Modeling to solve real-world problems. - Practical experience in at least one of the following programming languages: R or Python. - Strong modeling skills and ability to build practical models using advanced algorithms such as Random Forests, SVM, Neural Networks. - Familiarity with algorithms in recommendation systems, NLP, or big data frameworks such as Hadoop/Spark is a bonus. - Strong independent and creative research skills to keep up with the latest trends in advanced analytics. - Undergraduate degree from premier institutions such as IIT, BITS, NIT, etc. - Interest in working in a high-growth environment where your analysis drives important decisions. - Strong communication skills to clearly convey your thoughts/work to clients or internal teams. As a Vice President, Risk and Compliance AI and Analytics at HSBC, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the bank's regulatory compliance and risk management through the application of advanced analytics and artificial intelligence. Your primary responsibilities will include leading a team within RC AI & Analytics, utilizing a combination of applied mathematics, statistics, machine learning, and data engineering to protect the bank from regulatory conduct risk exposure. You will champion best practices in model risk management to support the safe deployment of analytical solutions and oversee the research and monitoring of bespoke analytical products to identify, measure, and mitigate emerging regulatory risks. To qualify for this position, you should have a degree in technology, data analytics, or a related discipline, or at least 8 years of relevant work experience in computer or Data Science. Experience in Financial Services, particularly within a tier one bank, and knowledge of regulatory compliance are essential. Moreover, you should possess strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills, along with the ability to work independently and solve complex business problems. In terms of technical knowledge, you should have a solid understanding of data science principles, visualization tools, data architecture concepts, and experience with various software tools including JIRA, GIT, and Advanced Excel.
