As a School Counselor at Hustlr Staffing Services, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing comprehensive school counseling programs. Your primary responsibilities will include providing individual and group counseling to students, assisting them in identifying and achieving personal, social, and academic goals. You will conduct assessments to evaluate students" strengths, needs, and challenges, collaborating with educators, parents, and other professionals to support student development. Additionally, you will organize workshops and training sessions on social skills and personal development, guide students in career exploration and post-secondary education planning, and maintain accurate and confidential student records and documentation. Your role will involve promoting a safe and welcoming school environment for all students, facilitating crisis intervention and conflict resolution strategies, and engaging in ongoing professional development to remain current with best practices. Furthermore, you will implement programs to address diversity and inclusion in the student body, advocate for student needs, collaborate with community resources, monitor students" academic performance, and provide necessary interventions. Your involvement in school meetings and contribution to school policy development will be crucial in ensuring the overall well-being and success of the student community. To qualify for this role, you should hold a Masters degree in School Counseling or a related field, along with a valid School Counseling certification/license in India. Previous experience in school counseling or a related role is essential, and you should possess strong knowledge of child and adolescent development. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, the ability to work well under pressure, and manage multiple tasks are key attributes required for this position. Proficiency in using counseling software and tools, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to build rapport with students are also essential. You should demonstrate a commitment to fostering an inclusive environment, work collaboratively with diverse populations, and have knowledge of educational policies and guidelines. Experience in crisis counseling and intervention techniques, strong ethical standards, and the ability to maintain confidentiality are additional qualifications that will be beneficial in this role.
