As a Junior Web Designer at Career, you will report to a Senior Designer and be responsible for assisting Senior Designers, Designers, and Developers in executing projects across all stages from initial concepts to design, implementation, and testing of the final site. Your key responsibilities will include assisting in the development and maintenance of websites, intranet sites, and email marketing campaigns. You will create graphics and code that align with GCUs style and brand identity, as well as translate visual prototypes into launch-ready code. Testing and troubleshooting pages on various browsers and platforms, completing website build-out from Photoshop to functional HTML, and contributing to the overall Web Communication Strategy and special projects are also part of your duties. To excel in this role, you should have an Associate's degree or 2 years of equivalent experience in web design or online advertising design. Proficiency in HTML, CSS, jQuery, and JavaScript is required, along with knowledge of Adobe Dreamweaver, Fireworks, and Photoshop. Attention to detail, a customer-service orientation, and creativity in problem-solving are essential. You should be able to work effectively in a team, communicate clearly to provide training, and have a strong online portfolio showcasing user-centered design.
