You will pre-admit patients by receiving bookings from physicians, confirming admitting privileges of physicians, interviewing patients, and entering patient information into the pre-admissions database. Additionally, you will provide patients with information by explaining hospital admission policies, time of admission, room selection, TV and video rentals, telephone availability, and cell phone restrictions, while also addressing any inquiries they may have. Your responsibilities will include preparing admission folders by gathering admission paperwork for scheduled patients and verifying patient identity by checking identification and placing identification bands on patients. You will ensure patients" arrival to hospital rooms or testing areas by assigning patient beds, notifying nursing units of patient arrivals, and calling volunteers to transport patients to the assigned areas. You will be responsible for admitting emergency room and maternity patients by obtaining information from family members and visiting emergency rooms, delivery rooms, or patient rooms. Additionally, you will provide information to the public by answering admitting procedure, hospital regulation, and service inquiries, and referring inquiries as needed. In this role, it is essential to serve and protect the hospital community by adhering to professional standards, hospital policies and procedures, federal, state, and local requirements, as well as jcaho standards. This position is full-time and permanent, with benefits including food, health insurance, life insurance, and provident fund.
