Job Overview: 1. Provide academic guidance and support to students. 2. Assist students with course selection, academic planning, and personal development to ensure academic success. 3. Advice on career pathways, managing academic challenges, and navigating institutional resources. Key Responsibilities: 1. Academic Advising and Support: Guide students in selecting appropriate courses based on their interests, career goals, and academic strengths. Assist students in creating personalized academic plans and help them understand degree requirements. 2. Career Counselling: Offer career advice and guidance on opportunities related to students' areas of interest or fields of study. Help students explore career paths and connect them to resources like internships, networking opportunities, and career services. 3. Student Records and Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student interactions and counselling sessions. Assist in managing and updating student databases and documentation as per University's policies. Qualifications: Bachelor's or Masters degree in Education, Counselling, Psychology, or a related field. Understanding of academic programs, university policies, and student development. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work with a diverse student population and to address a wide range of academic and personal issues. Previous experience in academic counselling, student services, or a similar role will be an added advantage.
