Job Description

The Department of Language & Linguistic Science at the University of York campus is seeking to hire an Administrator to join their established team. This role involves working collaboratively across multiple departments, including the Dept of Language & Linguistic Science, Dept of Philosophy, and Dept of English & Related Literature. As part of the Administrative Team, the successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality services to students, academic staff, and colleagues in other professional services. The Administrator will play a vital role within the team, handling a diverse range of administrative tasks with professionalism and efficiency. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines are essential for this position. The role also involves providing support in various administrative functions as needed. The ideal candidate should possess a thorough understanding of administrative procedures within a dynamic and complex organization. Previous experience in delivering exceptional customer service to various stakeholders is required. Proficiency in using digital technologies, such as Google applications and Microsoft Office, is essential. Effective verbal and written communication skills are also key requirements for this role. This is a part-time position with a salary range of 28,381 - 31,637 per year (reduced pro-rata) at Grade 4 level. The contract status is open, and the application deadline is 01/04/2025.
