The job involves conducting detailed psychiatric evaluations, diagnoses, and treatment planning for adult and adolescent patients. You will be responsible for providing pharmacological and non-pharmacological management of psychiatric conditions such as depression, anxiety, psychosis, addiction, and geriatric psychiatry. Collaborating closely with psychologists, social workers, and primary care teams to deliver integrated care will be a key aspect of the role. Additionally, you will lead and participate in interdisciplinary case discussions and family counseling sessions. Your contribution to mental health awareness, prevention programs, and community outreach initiatives is expected. Participation in CME programs, training, and quality initiatives of the hospital is also part of the job responsibilities. The ideal candidate should have an MBBS with MD/DNB in Psychiatry from a recognized institute. While 0-10 years of experience is preferred, fresh MDs passionate about patient-centric care may also apply. Excellent clinical and counseling skills, along with a compassionate, non-judgmental approach, are essential for this role. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are required to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and families. A commitment to continuous learning, ethical practice, and building patient trust is highly valued.
