Selected Intern's Day-to-day Responsibilities Include Writing and Maintaining Code: You'll write clean, well-documented PHP code to create new features or modify existing ones. This often involves working on the back-end logic of a website, such as handling form submissions, managing user authentication, and processing data. Database Integration: You'll connect the PHP application to a database, most commonly MySQL, to store and retrieve data. This involves writing SQL queries to manage information and ensure the application can interact with the database efficiently. Debugging and Troubleshooting: You will identify and fix bugs or issues in the application's code. This requires strong problem-solving skills and a logical approach to debugging, ensuring the application runs smoothly and without errors. Collaborating with Front-End Developers: A PHP developer's work is server-side, but it must seamlessly integrate with the user-facing parts of the site. You'll work with front-end developers to ensure that data and functionality are correctly passed between the back-end and the front-end (HTML, CSS, JavaScript). Participating in Code Reviews and Team Meetings: You'll be part of an agile development team, which means you'll participate in daily stand-up meetings to discuss progress and challenges. You'll also take part in code reviews, where you'll receive feedback on your code and learn best practices from more experienced developers.
