Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing Cisco ACI-based data center networks. This includes configuring and troubleshooting ACI fabric components ( APIC, Spine, and Leaf switches), integrating ACI with existing infrastructure, and automating network operations. They collaborate with various teams to ensure network performance, scalability, and security, aligning with organizational goals. Key Responsibilities: Design and Implementation: Designing and implementing Cisco ACI fabrics and policies , including configuring ACI components (APIC, Spine, and Leaf switches). Integration: Integrating ACI with existing infrastructure, such as Layer 2/3 out and L4-L7 service insertion. Troubleshooting: Identifying and resolving network issues within the ACI fabric, utilizing tools like syslog, SNMP, and AAA/RBAC. Automation: Automating ACI operations using tools like REST APIs, Ansible, or other automation frameworks. Collaboration: Working closely with application and security teams to define network requirements and ensure efficient application deployments. Documentation: Creating and maintaining documentation for network configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps. Maintenance: Upgrading and maintaining ACI firmware and performing lifecycle management. Design, implement, and maintain Cisco ACI fabric including APIC, Spine, and Leaf components. Configure ACI constructs such as Tenants, VRFs, Bridge Domains, EPGs, Contracts, and Interface Policies. Manage L3Out configurations and transited routing for external connectivity.
