Liaise with vendors and suppliers regarding material sourcing and prototyping. Maintain documentation for designs, revisions, and production processes.

Key Responsibilities: 1 Inspection and Testing: • Perform inspections on raw materials, in-process production, and finished products. • Use measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision instruments to verify dimensions and tolerances. • Conduct visual and dimensional inspections to detect surface defects, scratches, dents, and other imperfections. 2 Documentation and Reporting: • Maintain accurate records of inspections, test results, and any non-conformities. • Prepare and distribute quality control reports to management. • Ensure proper documentation for compliance with ISO standards or other quality certifications. 3 Process Monitoring: • Monitor manufacturing processes to ensure adherence to quality standards. • Identify potential areas of improvement and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurring issues. • Collaborate with production teams to ensure quality control procedures are consistently followed. 4 Problem Solving: • Investigate customer complaints or returned products to determine root causes of defects. • Develop corrective and preventive action plans to resolve quality issues. • Coordinate with suppliers to address raw material quality concerns. 5 Compliance and Standards: • Ensure all products comply with industry regulations, customer requirements, and internal standards. • Stay updated on relevant standards, such as ASME, ASTM, or ISO certifications related to sheet metal manufacturing. 6 Training and Development: • Train production staff on quality control procedures and standards. • Promote a culture of quality and continuous improvement across the shop.
