Accounts Assistant

Role & responsibilities

• Financial Record Management:

  Maintaining accurate financial records, managing financial files, and updating financial spreadsheets.

• Invoice and Receipt Processing:

  Processing and verifying vendor invoices, creating and sending invoices to clients, and preparing and processing bank deposits and disbursement checks.

• Account Management:

  Reconciling bank statements, tracking accounts payable and accounts receivable, and overseeing client accounts.

• Reporting and Analysis:

  Assisting with the preparation of monthly and annual financial reports, creating balance sheets, and inputting data into financial software.

• Data Entry and Software Use:

  Entering financial data into accounting systems and databases, and managing financial software applications.

• Administrative Support:

  Providing administrative assistance to the finance team, including data collection, document preparation, and troubleshooting financial issues.

• Compliance and Audits:

  Assisting with compliance activities and internal/external audits by providing necessary financial information and documentation.

Preferred candidate profile

• echnical Skills:

  Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other spreadsheet software, along with familiarity with accounting software and ERP systems.

• Analytical Skills:

  Strong mathematical and analytical skills for reviewing data, identifying discrepancies, and creating reports.

• Organizational Skills:

  Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills are crucial for maintaining accurate financial records and managing multiple tasks.

• Soft Skills:

  Good communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with the finance team and other departments.

• Education:

  A bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is often preferred, though some entry-level positions may accept relevant experience.
