Accounting Specialist (R2R)

As an Accounting Specialist at our Coimbatore location during the Night Shift, your role will involve owning the processing of specialized accounts. You will be responsible for thoroughly understanding the transaction entry process, making necessary improvements, and using independent thought to investigate and resolve any issues that may arise. Your ability to solve puzzles, confidently interact with others for solutions, and persistently strive for favorable outcomes will be crucial. Utilizing MS Excel extensively, you must be highly proficient in the tool to format and import data into our accounting system (NetSuite) accurately. Your attention to detail will ensure that data is complete and entered correctly, preventing any future reconciliation discrepancies. Key Responsibilities: - Review bank transactions daily to identify new customer deposits and match them with remittance advices. - Enter data into spreadsheet templates for subsequent upload into the accounting system, ensuring accuracy and resolving any discrepancies. - Reconcile control accounts and other general ledger accounts on a monthly basis, resolving any discrepancies. Qualifications and Skills: Experience: - 3-5 years in various accounting roles. - Excellent MS Excel skills. - Knowledge of enterprise accounting systems like NetSuite. - Experience in importing/exporting data and data entry into accounting systems. - Strong oral and written communication skills. - Proactive interaction with others and persistence in achieving desired outcomes. Skills: - Ability to think and act independently with tenacity for favorable results. - Proficient puzzle solver. - Confidence in handling unknown situations. - Understanding of process goals and the flexibility to modify them for desired outcomes. - Proficiency in using MS Excel for data analysis and creating data uploads for the accounting system. Education: - High school diploma or equivalent (required). - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field (preferred). Team and Reporting: - Night shift from 6:00 PM to 3:00 AM (may vary based on project requirements). - Week offs: Saturday and Sunday.
