ThePilot.in has been guiding aspiring pilots since 2019. We are one of India’s largest pilot training ground schools and training facilitators. We offer DGCA ground classes, CPL flight training in India and abroad, airline cadet preparation, and Airbus A320 and Boeing 737 type ratings. We work with partner flight schools in several countries. We’re growing fast and are looking for a reliable accountant to manage our day-to-day finances.

About the Role
You’ll handle the company’s accounts end to end: student fee collections, payments to partner schools in India and abroad, GST and TDS compliance, and monthly reporting. You’ll report directly to [the Founder / Finance Head] and work closely with our admissions and operations teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain day-to-day books of accounts in Tally Prime / [Zoho Books]
• Record and reconcile student fee payments, instalments, and refunds, and issue invoices and receipts
• Track payments received through education loans and coordinate with banks and NBFCs on disbursements
• Process payments to partner flight schools and type rating centres abroad, and handle foreign remittances, forex documentation, and bank paperwork
• Manage vendor payments, payables, and receivables
• Do monthly bank reconciliations and keep ledgers accurate
• Handle GST compliance, including invoicing, GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B filings, and input tax credit reconciliation
• Calculate and deduct TDS, file returns, and issue Form 16/16A
• Process payroll and handle PF, ESIC, and professional tax where applicable
• Prepare monthly MIS reports, cash flow statements, and expense summaries for management
• Support the CA during statutory audits, income tax filings, and year-end closing
• Keep financial records organised and ready for audit
• We need the Accountant with forex knowledge.

Requirements

• B.Com / M.Com, or CA Inter / CMA Inter
• [4-5] years of experience in accounting, preferably at an education, training, or services company
• Strong working knowledge of Tally Prime and MS Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables)
• Good understanding of GST, TDS, and basic Indian taxation
• Accurate, organised, and able to meet monthly compliance deadlines
• Good communication skills in English and Hindi

Good to Have

• Experience with foreign remittances, outward payments, or forex transactions
• Experience handling education loan disbursements or student fee management
• Familiarity with Zoho Books or other accounting software

Pay: From ₹30,000.00 per month

Work Location: In person
