Accountant

Job Responsibilities

• Maintain daily accounting entries in Tally Prime.
• Handle sales, purchase, payment, receipt, journal, and contra entries.
• Maintain accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Perform bank reconciliation and vendor/customer account reconciliation.
• Maintain purchase invoices, sales invoices, debit notes, and credit notes.
• Prepare Excel reports, MIS reports, and outstanding payment reports.
• Maintain stock and inventory records and reconcile them with accounts.
• Assist in GST returns, TDS calculations, and other statutory compliance.
• Maintain proper documentation of bills, vouchers, and financial records.
• Assist in monthly closing and preparation of financial statements.
• Coordinate with vendors, customers, and internal departments regarding accounts-related matters.

Required Skills

• Good working knowledge of Tally Prime.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, including VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, SUMIF/SUMIFS, IF formulas, and data filtering.
• Knowledge of GST, TDS, bank reconciliation, and accounting principles.
• Good understanding of purchase, sales, payment, and receipt processes.
• Accuracy in accounting entries and financial reporting.
• Good communication and coordination skills.

Educational Qualification

• B.Com / M.Com or equivalent qualification in Accounting or Finance.

Preferred Candidate

• Experience in a manufacturing, trading, or furniture industry will be an advantage.
• Ability to manage daily accounting activities independently.
• Good analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Willingness to work full-time at the designated office location.
