We are looking for a detail-oriented and responsible Accountant to manage our financial records, accounting operations, and reporting requirements.

Job Summary:

The Accountant will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing daily accounting activities, processing invoices and payments, reconciling accounts, and assisting with financial reporting and compliance. The ideal candidate should have strong numerical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle financial information confidentially.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate books of accounts and financial records.
• Manage daily accounting transactions, including income, expenses, receipts, and payments.
• Prepare and process invoices, bills, payment vouchers, and receipts.
• Perform bank, cash, vendor, and customer account reconciliations.
• Monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding payments.
• Assist in preparing monthly financial statements, expense reports, and management reports.
• Maintain records of company expenses, petty cash, and reimbursements.
• Assist with payroll processing and employee expense settlements, where required.
• Ensure timely filing and maintenance of accounting documents and supporting records.
• Assist with tax calculations, VAT/GST returns, and other statutory compliance requirements, as applicable.
• Coordinate with banks, vendors, auditors, and relevant departments for accounting-related matters.
• Support budgeting, financial planning, and cost-control activities.
• Identify discrepancies in financial records and resolve them promptly.
• Maintain confidentiality of financial data and ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Previous experience in accounting or finance; experience in the education or service industry will be an advantage.
• Good knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software such as Tally, Zoho Books, QuickBooks, or similar tools.
• Knowledge of applicable tax regulations and statutory compliance.
• Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain accurate records.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to coordinate with internal and external stakeholders.
