Accountant

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting operations for our client-manufacturing concern. Preference will be given to candidates with prior experience in the clothing or garment manufacturing industry. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of cost accounting, inventory management, and statutory compliance relevant to manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain books of accounts including general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable

Handle cost accounting, product costing, and variance analysis for manufacturing operations

Monitor and reconcile inventory, WIP (Work in Progress), and finished goods

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements

Manage GST, TDS, and other statutory compliances; ensure timely filings and payments

Coordinate with auditors and support internal and external audits

Track production-related expenses and analyze cost efficiencies

Prepare MIS reports for management decision-making

Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards

Preferred Industry Experience

Prior experience in the clothing/garment or textile manufacturing industry

Understanding of fabric procurement, cutting, stitching, finishing, and related costing structures

Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce (B.Com preferred)

CA Inter / CMA Inter / equivalent qualification is an added advantage

Experience

36 years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment

Experience with garment or textile manufacturing will be preferred

Skills & Competencies

Strong knowledge of manufacturing and cost accounting

Proficiency in accounting software (Tally/ERP/zoho books systems preferred)

Good understanding of GST and other statutory regulations

Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills

Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
