Accountant, General Accounting

In this role as an Accountant at Siemens Digital Industries Software, you will be a part of the Regional General Accounting team and will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and completeness of financial statements, providing financial insights to management, and driving the digital transformation of the accounting function. You will have end-to-end responsibility for the accounting, tax, and compliance of the assigned legal entity. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to participate in various complex, multi-disciplinary projects within the organization. **Key Responsibilities:** - Perform full-cycle accounting activities and prepare various financial reports such as balance sheets, income statements, and fluctuation analysis for management and internal/external auditors. - Manage local tax and compliance requirements effectively. - Prepare journal entries, conduct balance sheet reconciliations, and analyze financial performance during month and quarter-end close activities. - Participate in process improvement initiatives related to accounting and finance. - Support integration or implementation of finance and reporting system changes with a strong focus on technology. **Qualifications Required:** - Chartered Accountant degree with a minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience in a similar role, preferably with Big4 experience. - Solid accounting knowledge and strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail. - Excellent communication and presentation skills. - Self-motivated with a strong work ethic, capable of working independently or as part of a team. - Experience with an ERP system, preferably SAP. - Willingness to collaborate with finance and business teams in the office for 3 days per week.
