As the Head Tele Collection in Banking at Credit Saison India, you will be entrusted with overseeing the collections operations across both inhouse and remote locations. Your primary responsibility will involve managing the performance of the collections team to achieve and sustain targets in line with the budget. It is essential that you possess a strong understanding of debt collection fundamentals and operations to effectively execute existing strategies and drive future initiatives. Collaboration with various stakeholders such as Operations, Technology, Compliance, and Sales will be crucial in working towards shared objectives. Your key responsibilities will include regulating the flow of overdue accounts and minimizing delinquency within specified budgets. You will be accountable for overseeing the Tele-Collection process from pre to post delinquency stages, devising strategies for overdue collections, and developing and reviewing process notes and collection Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Forecasting on budget estimations, annual targets, cost projections, manpower requirements, and workforce planning will also fall under your purview. Ensuring compliance with audits and regulatory standards is paramount in this role. You will be expected to evaluate the cost-effectiveness of new strategies, nurture a diverse pool of talent, and establish succession plans for high-performing individuals. Training and coaching of agents and team leaders to equip them with the necessary skill set will be a key focus area. Additionally, you will be responsible for formulating and implementing strategies related to incentives, negotiation skills training, call campaigns, account prioritization, automated reminders, and technological advancements. Maintaining a balance between costs and collections, as well as keeping team attrition rates below acceptable levels, are critical success factors. Data-driven decision-making will play a vital role in aligning Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the team, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness in achieving set objectives.
