Role & responsibilities

Role Overview

Accountant / Accounts Executive

Common Responsibilities (Applicable to All Levels)

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date books of accounts • Record daily accounting transactions, including sales, purchases, expenses, receipts, and payments • Perform bank reconciliations, ledger scrutiny, and balance confirmations • Ensure accuracy of financial data and compliance with internal policies • Work on accounting software such as

    Tally / ERP

    and

    MS Excel

    • Support month-end and year-end closing activities

Junior-Level Responsibilities (12 Years Experience)

  • Assist in day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping activities
  • Prepare vouchers, invoices, bills, and expense statements
  • Maintain proper documentation of accounting records
  • Assist in

    GST, TDS, and basic statutory compliance

    work
  • Support in preparation of

    MIS reports

    and financial summaries
  • Coordinate with senior accountants during audits and statutory filings
  • Learn and follow standard accounting procedures and compliance requirements

Senior-Level Responsibilities (5+ Years Experience)

  • Independently handle

    complete books of accounts

  • Prepare and finalise

    monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements

  • Manage

    GST, TDS, Income Tax filings

    , and other statutory compliances
  • Handle statutory and internal audits and coordinate with auditors, consultants, and authorities
  • Prepare and analyse

    MIS reports, cash flow statements, and financial analysis reports

  • Ensure compliance with applicable

    Indian accounting standards and laws

  • Review accounting work performed by junior staff and provide guidance
  • Identify discrepancies, suggest process improvements, and ensure financial accuracy

Preferred candidate profile

  • Bachelors degree in

    Commerce (B.Com / M.Com)

    or equivalent qualification
  • Experience in

    accounting firms, BFSI, or financial services

    will be an added advantage
  • Strong analytical, organisational, and communication skills
  • Professional attitude with willingness to learn and grow
