As a Apparel and Product Designer, your primary responsibility will be to contribute to the development of seasonal sportswear collections across men's, women's, and kids" categories. You will independently design activewear, performance wear, and athleisure pieces that reflect the brand's identity and market positioning. To ensure your designs are relevant and innovative, you will conduct trend and market research and provide creative input and design direction. Additionally, you will prepare accurate flat sketches, mood boards, and tech packs for handover to the production team, collaborating closely with merchandising, production, and sourcing teams to ensure design intent is carried through to the final product. In the realm of product design, you will be tasked with designing sports accessories such as bags, caps, water bottles, and other utility products. Your role will involve developing product concepts, mock-ups, and digital renderings with a keen eye on function, aesthetics, and brand coherence. Furthermore, you will support branding and packaging design efforts to enhance product shelf appeal and usability. To excel in this role, you should possess a Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Product Design, or a related discipline, along with at least 3 years of professional experience in apparel and/or product design, preferably in the sportswear or activewear industry. Proficiency in industry-standard design tools such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, CorelDRAW is essential. Familiarity with 3D design tools like Clo3D or Blender will be considered an added advantage. A strong eye for detail, color theory, fabric/material knowledge, and ergonomic functionality are crucial for success in this role. Mission The primary responsibility of this role is to lead design engineering for product development of LV Circuit Breakers (MCCB & ACB) and Accessories. This is to meet customer-specific technical, cost, and market-related technology requirements in accordance with standards (IEC, UL...). The candidate will be involved in all phases of product development. Roles and Responsibilities Design & Development:Develop designs to meet electrical distribution market needs defined by product technical specifications. Responsible for the design, development, testing, documentation, and manufacturing readiness. Hands-on experience working on LV products like MCCB, ACB, Contactors, Thermal Relays, circuit-breakers, and accessories (rotary handle, motor mechanism, trip unit, ...). Engineering Analysis:Lead engineering analysis on design concepts using engineering fundamentals and analysis tools (material strength, stack-up analysis, mechanism). Conduct complex design feasibility studies using hands-on 3D software like Pro/e. Manufacturing & Cost Optimization:Have manufacturing/tooling knowledge to perform in metallic and plastic parts design. Perform Design for Cost/Design for Manufacture Analysis (DFM/DFA) on individual parts, subassemblies. Propose alternate materials and methods of assembly and manufacture. Testing & Qualification:Develop and test product qualification, certification, and reliability requirements. Manage execution of prototype design; build and test. Troubleshoot and perform root cause analysis to resolve design concept failures. Collaboration & Documentation:Interact and challenge cross-functional teams such as manufacturing, sourcing, finance, marketing, and vendors to define requirements, validate designs, implement manufacturing readiness, and support product launch. Develop and update product documentation including drawings, BOMs, and design guides. Qualifications BE / B Tech in Mechanical/Electrical engineering with 8+ relevant experience. Requirements Experience in product design, production engineering, and value engineering. Exposure to product design & development, quality, value engineering, costing of electrical distribution products like Low Voltage circuit breakers, MCCB, ACB. Manufacturing knowledge for molding, casting, & assembly processes and tooling. Good knowledge of materials - plastics. Working knowledge of CAD/CAE software like Pro/E and mechanism with Dimension chain analysis. Project & design management skills is a must. Proven communication & interpersonal skills - a clear thinker that can simplify complexity. Able to set clear goals, communicate priorities. Experience in full product life cycle (scoping, feasibility, execution, production, establishment)
