As a Networking Remote Technical Support Engineer (L1) at NTT DATA, you will be responsible for providing professional remote technical support services to clients by identifying and resolving technical incidents and problems. Your role will involve maintaining the support process, investigating and diagnosing problems, and ensuring requests for support are handled according to procedures. You will be utilizing service assurance software and tools to collect performance statistics, create reports, and work with users, staff, and suppliers as needed. Additionally, you will be identifying and resolving problems, carrying out maintenance tasks, and ensuring the usage of knowledge articles in incident diagnosis and resolution. Your key responsibilities will include monitoring service delivery against service level agreements, analyzing service records regularly, prioritizing and diagnosing incidents, investigating causes of incidents, and providing service recovery. You will also be documenting and closing resolved incidents, maintaining secure and accurate configuration items, and remotely investigating root causes of incidents. To excel in this role, you should have a working knowledge of technical documentation, management agent concepts, redundancy concepts, and remote console architecture within the supported technical domain. Knowledge of vendor technologies such as Cisco, Juniper, Aruba, RiverBed, etc., is essential. You should be customer service-oriented, proactive, detail-oriented, and possess good analytical and logical thinking skills. Excellent communication skills, both spoken and written, and the ability to work well with others are crucial. The academic qualifications and certifications required for this role include a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Information Technology or Computing, along with associate-level certifications in different networking technologies such as Cisco, Juniper, Aruba, F5, CCNA, JNCIA, ACMA, etc. Entry-level experience in networking technologies like routing, switching, wireless, SDI distribution, core and access layers, technical support, diagnosis and troubleshooting, providing remote support, and relevant technology is also necessary.
