Academic Writer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and intellectually curious Junior Academic Writer & Editor to support PhD students in producing high-quality research. In this collaborative role, you will work directly with doctoral candidates to refine their written work, from initial drafts to final submissions. The ideal candidate has a strong command of academic conventions, exceptional editing skills, and a passion for helping scholars articulate complex ideas with clarity and precision.

Key Responsibilities:

• Editing and Proofreading: Provide meticulous proofreading to correct errors in grammar, punctuation, spelling, and syntax.
• Structural Support: Assist in organizing and structuring written work, including dissertations, journal articles, and conference papers, to ensure logical flow and coherence.
• Argumentation and Clarity: Apply critical thinking to strengthen arguments, ensuring claims are well-supported by credible evidence and articulated in a clear, concise manner.
• Academic Tone and Style: Guide writers in maintaining a formal academic tone and adhering to specific style guides (e.g., APA, MLA, Chicago).
• Research Integrity: Ensure all sources are credible and properly cited, upholding the highest standards of academic integrity and preventing plagiarism.
• Collaborative Guidance: Work one-on-one with PhD students, providing constructive feedback and explaining editorial changes to enhance their own writing skills.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Education: Master's degree in a relevant field (or currently enrolled in a PhD program).
• Experience: 0-2 years of experience in academic writing, editing, tutoring, or a related role.

• Grammar & Punctuation: Expert knowledge of English grammar, punctuation, and standard usage.

Pay: ₹13,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
