Role Overview – Academic HR Coordinator: The Academic HR Coordinator serves as a vital link between the HR department and academic teams (teachers, principals, and academic heads). The role ensures the smooth management of all HR processes specific to teaching and academic staff, including recruitment, onboarding, training, performance tracking, and exit management, while supporting the school’s mission of holistic student development. Roles and Responsibilities – Academic HR Coordinator =============================================== 1. Recruitment & Staffing Coordinate teacher and staff recruitment in line with school requirements and the academic calendar. Prepare and post job descriptions for teaching and non-teaching positions. Screen and shortlist candidates; schedule interviews and demonstration classes. Verify academic qualifications and certifications as per CBSE/ICSE/IB/State Board norms. Maintain a comprehensive database of potential candidates for future academic openings. 2. Onboarding & Induction Organize joining formalities and documentation for new teachers and staff. Conduct academic orientation sessions, school culture introductions, and HR policy briefings. Ensure all verification processes are completed, including qualification and experience checks. 3. Training and Development Identify teacher training and development needs in coordination with academic leadership. Plan and schedule workshops, refresher programs, and skill enhancement sessions. Maintain accurate records of all professional development programs attended by faculty and staff. 4. Communication & Coordination Serve as a communication link between HR, academic leadership, and faculty. Circulate and communicate policy updates, school initiatives, circulars, and important notices to staff. Support academic leadership in implementing HR-related decisions and programs. 5. Exit Management Manage resignation and clearance formalities for teachers and staff. Ensure smooth handover of academic responsibilities, student data, and records. Conduct exit interviews and document feedback for continuous improvement. 6. Adaptability and Organizational Alignment Remain flexible and open to taking on additional responsibilities as per organizational needs. Support HR and management teams in implementing new initiatives or policy changes. Qualifications & Requirements: =============================== 1. Educational Qualifications Minimum Requirement: Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management , Education , Psychology , Business Administration , or a related field. Preferred / Ideal: Master’s Degree (MBA / PGDM) in Human Resource Management or Education Management . B.Ed. or M.Ed. (Bachelor or Master of Education) – preferred in schools following CBSE, ICSE, or IB curriculum, as it helps understand academic processes and teacher requirements. Additional Advantage: Certification or diploma in: HR Analytics or HR Operations Training & Development (TTT certification) Labour Laws or School Administration 2. Experience 5–10 years of experience in HR or academic administration (preferably in schools, colleges, or educational institutions). Prior experience in teacher recruitment , staff onboarding , or academic coordination is highly desirable.
