Academic Counselor

Overview
An Academic Counselor is responsible for guiding SSC/BANK aspirants in their academic, personal, and career development. The role involves advising students on course selection, academic planning, learning strategies, and career pathways while supporting their overall well-being and success within the institution.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one academic advising to students regarding courses, programs, and graduation requirements
• Assist students in developing academic plans aligned with their interests, strengths, and career goals
• Monitor students’ academic progress and identify at-risk students for early intervention
• Conduct counseling sessions to address academic challenges such as low motivation, exam stress, and time management
• Guide students on college/university admissions, scholarship opportunities, and career options
• Maintain accurate records of counseling sessions, student progress, and action plans
• Organize workshops/seminars on study skills, career planning, and personal development
• Collaborate with faculty, administration, and parents to support student success
• Refer students to psychological or specialized support services when needed
• Stay updated with educational programs, curriculum changes, and career trends

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree
• Cleared a prelims exams in SSC /Bank / Railway Competitive Exams
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Empathy, patience, and ability to build trust with students
• Knowledge of academic systems, curricula, and career pathways
• Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism

Preferred Skills

• Experience in educational counseling or student support services
• Familiarity with career assessment tools and counseling techniques
• Problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities
• Proficiency in basic computer applications and student management systems

Work Environment

• School, college, university, or educational consultancy
• Requires interaction with students, parents, and faculty on a regular basis

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
