Tea Powder Packing Quality Assurance Role Overview: The QC Manager will be responsible for establishing, implementing, and maintaining robust quality systems across the tea packing facility. The role involves end-to-end quality assurance for raw materials (RM), packaging materials (PM), and finished goods (FG), while managing the in-house laboratory for routine physical, chemical, and sensory analysis. Key Responsibilities: 1. Quality System Implementation Develop, implement, and maintain the QC protocols, SOPs, and documentation aligned with FSSAI, ISO, and export quality standards. Set up and streamline the in-house lab for routine testing of RM, PM, and FG. Monitor quality checkpoints throughout the production and packing process to ensure adherence to standards. Establish specifications for RM (tea, flavors, additives), PM (pouches, cartons, labels), and FG (moisture, blend uniformity, packaging integrity, etc.). 2. Lab Management Oversee all laboratory activities, equipment calibration, and upkeep. Train and guide lab technicians to conduct tests such as: Moisture, sieve analysis, and sensory evaluation for tea powder. Migration and integrity tests for packaging material. Shelf-life and stability studies. Maintain test reports, retain samples, and ensure traceability for all batches. 3. Vendor & Material Quality Assurance Approve or reject incoming RM and PM based on quality criteria. Coordinate with procurement and vendors for quality feedback and improvement. 4. Production Quality Monitoring Ensure in-process quality control (blend uniformity, sealing integrity, weight checks). Supervise sampling plans, retain sample management, and corrective action processes. Investigate and resolve quality deviations, complaints, or non-conformances. 5. Compliance & Documentation Ensure full compliance with FSSAI, ISO 22000, FSSC 22000; BRC, HACCP , and export documentation requirements. Maintain proper documentation for traceability, batch records, and audit readiness. Support internal and external quality audits and regulatory inspections. 6. Continuous Improvement Drive initiatives for reducing quality rejections and wastage. Analyze trends in test data to improve process control and product consistency. Train production teams on basic quality hygiene and product standards. Qualifications & Experience: Education: B.Sc./M.Sc. in Food Technology, Chemistry, or related field. Experience: 58 years in FMCG / Tea / Coffee / Food packaging industries, with hands-on QC and lab management experience. Prior exposure to tea grading, moisture testing, and sensory evaluation preferred. Strong understanding of FSSAI and export quality compliance . Key Skills: Analytical mindset and attention to detail. Strong leadership and team management skills. Knowledge of basic lab instruments (moisture analyzer, sieve shaker, Mettler balance, sealer tester, etc.). Proficiency in documentation, data analysis, and audit handling. Excellent communication and coordination skills across departments.
