As a Mainframe Production Support specialist, you should have a minimum of 7 years of experience in the field. Immediate joiners are preferred for this role. Your expertise in JCL, including various data passing methods and optimizations, will be crucial for success in this position. Additionally, you must possess strong knowledge of utilities, datasets, STEPLIB, JCLLIB, Instream PROC, Catalog PROC, COBOL, and DB2, including writing stored procedures and CICS programs. Your problem-solving skills, log analysis, and debugging abilities will be put to the test in this role. Familiarity with different codes such as SQL Code, Abend code, and deadlocks is essential. Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, chef/puppet, and monitoring tools like Splunk or Dynatrace is a plus. Previous production support experience with ITSM knowledge is required.
