Participate and conduct structural integrity design review at component level. Job Title: Geomechanics Specialist Location: Bengaluru, India Experience Level: Mid-Career Job Description: We are seeking a skilled Geomechanics Specialist to support the construction, setup, and execution of well and reservoir geomechanical models. This role will be integral to upstream activities, enhancing field productivity, ensuring reserves, and safeguarding system integrity. As part of the team, you will collaborate closely with subject matter experts at our Technical Center (Houston) to maintain alignment on workflows and ensure technical excellence. Key Responsibilities: Analyze geomechanical challenges including fracturing, fault reactivation, subsidence/compaction, PI decline, fractured injector performance, wellbore stability, sand production, and induced seismicity. Develop and ensure quality assurance of Finite Element meshes for reservoir and well-scale models. Populate numerical geomechanical models with geological, geophysical data, rock properties, and relevant pressure and temperature conditions, in collaboration with our Technical Center experts. Execute numerical geomechanics models and manage results data repository. Conduct Finite Element modeling and coupled flow and geomechanics modeling. Create, manage, and analyze Mechanical Earth Models (MEM). Qualifications: Mid-career level experience in geomechanics, petrophysics, or related fields. Strong understanding of upstream operations and geomechanical modeling. Experience in working with Finite Element modeling, mechanical earth models, and coupled geomechanics modeling. Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and subject matter experts. Knowledge of shale and tight, carbon sequestration, deepwater, and heavy oil assets is a plus.
