J ob Description: VMC OperatorPosition: VMC (Vertical Machining Center) Operator Department: Production / Manufacturing Location: Ambad MIDC, Nashik Employment Type: Full-time Job Summary We are looking for a skilled VMC Operator to operate and maintain Vertical Machining Center machines in our Ambad MIDC facility. The candidate will be responsible for machine setup, operation, tool handling, and ensuring components meet required quality standards. Key ResponsibilitiesMachine Operation & Setup Set up and operate VMC machines according to production requirements. Load raw materials, tools, and fixtures. Adjust tool offsets and machine parameters as needed. Programming & Tooling Understand and interpret CNC programs (Fanuc / Siemens / Haas or relevant controls). Make minor edits in programs when necessary. Ensure correct tools are selected and installed. Quality Control Read and interpret engineering drawings. Inspect components using vernier calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and other instruments. Maintain dimensional accuracy and surface finish as per specifications. Maintenance Perform routine cleaning and basic preventive maintenance. Report any machine issues to the supervisor or maintenance team immediately. Documentation Maintain production and inspection records. Follow all internal quality and safety guidelines. Safety & Compliance Use appropriate PPE and follow all safety rules. Keep the work area clean and organized. Skills & QualificationsRequired: ITI / Diploma in Mechanical, Fitter, Turner, Machinist, or related field. 1–3 years of VMC operating experience (freshers with training may be considered). Good knowledge of machining, tooling, and measurement instruments. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings. Preferred: Experience with precision components. Basic CNC programming knowledge. Soft Skills Attention to detail Good communication Problem-solving ability Teamwork Working Conditions May require rotational or fixed shifts. Industrial production environment at Ambad MIDC.
