Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Mill-work Shop Drawings Designer for A2Z Mill-work Design LLC. This is a full-time, mid-level position based in Chennai. The ideal candidate will have 4 to 6 years of relevant work experience and be proficient in essential design software such as Auto-CAD, Revit, and Sketch Up. This role requires a keen eye for detail and the ability to produce meticulously crafted shop drawings.

Qualifications and Skills

• Proficient in Auto-CAD, offering detail-oriented capabilities to draft precise design layouts and plans (Mandatory skill).
• Experience with Revit, enabling the candidate to create accurate and efficient building information modeling (Mandatory skill).
• Expertise in Sketch Up for developing comprehensive 3D models that align with project specifications (Mandatory skill).
• Strong command of Solid-works for powerful 3D CAD solutions that ensure design efficacy and innovation.
• Capable in Cabinet Vision to efficiently design and produce exact cabinetry solutions that meet client standards.
• Proficiency in Blue-beam Revu to create, edit, and manage PDF drawings efficiently for streamlined collaboration.
• Essential knowledge of 3D Rendering to visualize projects beforehand and test design elements and creativity.
• Proven ability in shop drawing preparation, ensuring all plans meet required standards and specifications accurately.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Develop precise and detailed mill-work shop drawings using various CAD software to support project requirements.
• Collaborate with architects, designers, and engineers to visualize concepts and enhance project outcomes.
• Review drawings for design integrity, ensuring adherence to industry standards and client specifications.
• Coordinate with project managers to ensure timely delivery of shop drawings aligned with construction schedules.
• Maintain up-to-date documentation and participate in project review meetings to discuss drawing-related queries.
• Utilize 3D rendering techniques to assist in the visualization and presentation of mill-work designs to stakeholders.
• Ensure that all mill-work designs meet building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards.
• Continuously seek improvements in design processes and workflows to maximize efficiency and productivity.
