As a Sr. Manager in Warehouse & Logistics with over 15 years of experience in the Manufacturing/ Garment Industry, your role will be pivotal in ensuring a supply rate of 99% through various activities. You will be responsible for maintaining efficient receiving, warehouse, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing programs and procedures. It will be crucial to comply with state and local warehousing, material handling, and shipping requirements by staying updated on existing and new legislation and ensuring adherence to the set standards. Your responsibilities will also include controlling inventory levels through physical counts and reconciling them with the data storage system. You will need to oversee the physical condition of the warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts, inspecting equipment, and issuing work orders for repair and replacement when necessary. Additionally, you will be in charge of scheduling and assigning employees, following up on work results, and ensuring on-time dispatch and error-free dispatch of all orders. Your expertise in 5S, Lean implementation, process improvement, and cost savings will be valuable in optimizing warehouse operations. You will play a key role in maintaining the warehouse staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees. Ensuring warehouse security procedures and protocols are established and monitored will be essential to safeguard operations and contents. Key Skills required for this role include SAP working knowledge, supply chain management, manpower management, supervision, coordination, planning, time management, inventory control, 5S, and Lean system implementation. Proficiency in English, Tamil, and Hindi is preferable.
