As a 4G & 5G Packet Core Deployment and Integration Engineer, you will be responsible for deploying and integrating 4G LTE EPC and 5G Core solutions on various platforms including COTS hardware, public cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP), and private cloud environments. Your role will involve deploying containerized network functions, ensuring seamless integration with other network components, optimizing performance, and conducting interoperability testing. Your key responsibilities will include performing end-to-end deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting of Packet Core network functions such as AMF, SMF, UPF, MME, SGW, PGW, etc. You will also be required to develop automation scripts for deployment and lifecycle management, document deployment procedures, and collaborate with cross-functional teams including RF engineers, cloud architects, and DevOps teams. To excel in this role, you should have 8-10 years of experience in deploying and integrating 4G EPC and 5G Core network solutions. Strong knowledge of 3GPP standards related to 4G and 5G Packet Core is essential, along with experience in deployment on various platforms and proficiency in CI/CD tools for automated deployments. Additionally, familiarity with network protocols, monitoring and logging tools, cloud-native principles, and microservices architecture is desirable. Good communication skills, willingness to travel, and the ability to interact effectively at various organizational levels are also important for this role. You should be flexible to working in shifts and customer time zones, and have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
