You are a skilled 3D Rigging Artist with deep expertise in Blender, responsible for creating custom, animation-ready rigs for nursery rhyme characters including stylized humans, animals, and whimsical creatures. Collaborating closely with the animation and modeling teams, you ensure the production of high-quality rigs that are expressive, flexible, and efficient. Your key responsibilities include creating full rig setups from scratch, building complete control systems, performing accurate skinning and weight painting, collaborating with 3D modelers, ensuring rigs meet animator requirements, and continuously improving rigging workflows. To qualify for this position, you should have a diploma, degree, or equivalent experience in Animation, Game Design, VFX, or a related field, along with a minimum of 12 years of professional experience in rigging with Blender. You must possess a strong grasp of rigging fundamentals, the ability to create complex rigs manually, working knowledge of 3D modeling concepts, self-motivation, good communication skills, and a solid rigging portfolio showcasing your expertise. Preferred qualifications include experience with Blender scripting (Python) and Model Context Protocol (MCP), as well as familiarity with tools like Rigify or Auto-Rig Pro.
