As a Civil/Structural Engineer specializing in Dynamic Foundation Design, you should possess a B.Tech/B.E or higher degree (M.Tech/ME) with a minimum of 11-15 years of experience. Your expertise should include a strong proficiency in design concepts with hands-on engineering experience specifically in dynamic foundation design and reinforced concrete analysis for industrial buildings and structures in power projects or similar industries. You should have in-depth knowledge and practical experience in dynamic foundation designs such as table top without springs, tap top with springs, block foundation without spring, block foundation with spring, block on spring on steel structure, and piles among others. Proficiency in analytical software like STAAD, SAFE, ETABS, SAP, ANSIS, etc., is essential. Familiarity and application of IS codes/standards, as well as American, British, DIN, European codes of practices for both domestic and international projects, are required. Previous experience in reviewing multiple domestic and international projects is highly valued. Leadership qualities are essential as you will be expected to work as a Reviewer/Lead Engineer in multi-disciplinary EPC projects. The role will involve guiding multiple teams, resolving site and interdisciplinary issues, and managing customer interactions effectively. POSITION SUMMARY (Broad overview of responsibility) Under limited supervision to working independently, perform engineering assignments to design and develop Boiler auxiliaries( like fans, soot blowers, ESP, SCAPH, Hoists etc.) for supercritical boiler projects. PRINCIPAL DUTIES (List of specific responsibilities) Design, analyze and/or evaluate specific engineering requirements. Develop basic sketches and/or directions for various applications as required. Obtain and develop data for and prepare specifications, test procedures, safety reports and purchase-related documents. Review, analyze, and report on supplier, architect-engineer and consortium partner drawings and proposals and make recommendations on specific technical areas. Consult with appropriate engineering functions to insure design criteria is suitable for the application and advise those concerned of changes required. Prepare or lead the preparation of technical documents. Assist less experienced engineers and technicians on specific technical problems. Carry out basic economic studies for bid purposes. Participate in various internal meetings May perform lead function in achieving engineering schedule, hours and technical quality. Prepare instructions and supplemental information for lower level engineers. Identify and process changes that impact contract margin. Engage in domestic and/or international travel as required. EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED (Minimum formal academic requirements; amount and type of job-related experience; special skills and competencies). Mechanical discipline with 6 to 10 years engineering experience in Boiler auxiliary equipment design and engineering of fossil fuel steam generators. Experience in working 3D environment (PDS/PDMS) is an added advantage .Knowledge on various national and international codes related to Boiler auxiliary equipment is essential. Working knowledge of PC-based word processing, spreadsheet, database, and engineering program applications.
