3D Artist

As a 3D Generalist Artist at Offish Character Art Studio, you will play a crucial role in creating characters, creatures, and props for various projects, spanning from films to installations. Your expertise in software tools like ZBrush, Maya, and Blender will be essential, combined with a deep understanding of form, anatomy, and the art of breathing life into digital and physical creations. Your responsibilities will include crafting 3D assets from initial concept to final output, utilizing multiple software platforms, sculpting and modeling with a keen focus on human and animal anatomy. You will collaborate closely with designers, engineers, and physical modelers to translate your 3D work into real-world builds. Additionally, you may also work hands-on with clay or other sculpting materials for prototyping and reference purposes. Adaptability to different artistic styles and project requirements is a key aspect of this role, where your input and problem-solving skills will be valued in a fast-paced, creative environment. Proficiency in ZBrush, Maya, Blender, and a strong grasp of anatomy are essential, while hands-on experience with traditional sculpting is preferred. A keen eye for detail, texture, and realistic proportions, along with the ability to work independently and take direction, are qualities we seek in our ideal candidate. Bonus skills in retopology, UV unwrapping, texturing, rigging, animation, and an understanding of 3D printing and fabrication workflows will be advantageous.
