2D Spine Animator

As a 2D Spine Animator at Gamix Labs, you will have the exciting opportunity to work on creating rich graphics games by utilizing your expertise in 2D spine animation. You will collaborate with the Art Director and 2D Artists to bring various characters, effects, and UI elements to life using tools such as Spine and After Effects. Your role will involve applying advanced animation principles like timing, staging, anticipation, squash, and stretch to produce high-quality animations. In this position, you will be responsible for providing artwork at different stages of the project for review and incorporating feedback in a timely manner. Additionally, you will work closely with the Software team to prepare data for in-game implementation while adhering to production requirements. The ability to modify game art under tight deadlines and maintain a strong focus on human, animals, creatures, and mechanical movement is essential for this role. To excel as a 2D Spine Animator, you should have a solid understanding of a variety of game types, products, and platforms. You must be capable of handling complex data setups for game art components and be willing to explore new techniques with some support. Moreover, you should be adept at aligning art creation with functional specifications and creating animations that reinforce game rules and flow effectively. Ideal candidates for this position should possess storytelling capabilities through pose and composition, as well as demonstrate proficiency in using digital inking and rendering methods. Proficiency in Adobe applications like After Effects, Photoshop, and Illustrator is required, along with basic to intermediate knowledge of Brashmonkey Spriter.
