As a HVAC Design Engineer at our reputed service consultancy firm in Chennai, India, you will be responsible for designing and drafting HVAC systems for commercial and residential projects. Your role will involve performing heat-load calculations, ensuring compliance with industry standards such as NBC, ASHRAE, and ISHRAE, and coordinating with clients to deliver efficient MEP engineering solutions. Key responsibilities include creating design layouts for duct, chilled-water, and VRF piping systems, developing schematics, BOQs, and specifications, and reviewing design documentation. You will also be required to conduct site monitoring, coordinate with clients, consultants, and contractors, and utilize AutoCAD and MS Office for your work, with knowledge of Revit MEP being preferred. The ideal candidate for this position should have a BE in Mechanical Engineering, with both freshers and candidates with up to 13 years of experience being considered. Proficiency in HVAC standards, design, and drafting, as well as strong communication and coordination skills, are essential requirements. Familiarity with Revit MEP will be an added advantage. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing the Electrical Wiring Capability Center in Pune. You will work closely with the Electrical Wiring Interconnection System (EWIS) teams at the Head office to design aircraft electrical wiring harnesses. This will involve exchanging information on electrical interfaces between aircraft systems, creating 2D schematics, and participating in harness topologies design. Additionally, you will be responsible for managing and validating schematics of sub-contractors. As part of your role, you will also be involved in evaluating electrical products and systems by designing testing methods, testing finished products and system capabilities, and ensuring that necessary equipment is operational. You will contribute to the development of the Capability Center on harness design in Pune and provide feedback and reporting to the Design Office at the Head Office. To qualify for this position, you should have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, along with more than 10 years of experience in an Electrical Design Office. Strong knowledge of harness design, 2D modeling (using computer-aided design tools like ELECTRE), mechanical and 3D modeling, as well as experience in an industrial environment and the Aerospace Industry, are preferred. Excellent communication skills are essential, and knowledge of the French language will be considered an added advantage.,
