Our Gaming team is dedicated to developing cutting-edge technology, products, and content for the most iconic casinos and operators worldwide. As a Game Artist at Light & Wonder, you will play a crucial role in creating visual elements, effects, and layouts for electronic games, websites, and software products. During the pre-production phase, you will communicate proposed visual elements using concept art and storyboards. Utilizing your highly developed artistic skills, knowledge of movement, architecture, and representation, you will craft character and story images as well as backgrounds. Your expertise in color, lighting, composition, perspective, and mood will bring life and emotion to people, places, and things. Proficiency in 3D graphics packages like 3ds Max and Maya, along with 2D packages such as Photoshop, will be essential for developing stunning art and animations. Your primary responsibilities will include creating high-caliber art and animations, ensuring excellent quality in character design, color theory, layout, text treatment, and animation ability. Collaborating closely with Senior and Lead Artists and Animators, you will produce top-notch artwork and animations through an iterative process. Continuous improvement of your artistic and software skills, along with maintaining professionalism and accountability, will be key aspects of your role. To excel in this position, a Bachelor of Fine Arts or Diploma in Animation is preferred, along with a minimum of 2 years of experience as a Game Artist/Animator in a production environment, preferably in gaming. Critical thinking skills, the ability to design art for different themes and platforms, strong drawing and animation abilities, and proficiency in tools like Unity, Maya, Max, After Effects, and Photoshop are essential for success in this role.
