2D Game Artist

As a 2D Artist at ChicMic Studios, your role will involve creating visually appealing 2D assets for various projects such as games, apps, and digital media. You will collaborate with designers, developers, and animators to produce high-quality artwork. Your responsibilities will include: - Designing and producing 2D characters, environments, user interfaces, backgrounds, and props. - Generating concept sketches and illustrations based on project requirements. - Working with team members to ensure cohesive visual storytelling. - Optimizing art assets for various platforms like mobile, web, and desktop. - Maintaining and developing the visual style of the project for consistency. - Revising and improving artwork based on feedback. To qualify for this role, you should have: - A Bachelors degree in Fine Arts, Animation, Graphic Design, or a related field. - Minimum 3+ years of relevant experience in 2D art and animation. - Experience in the gaming industry or app development. - Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Figma, and other design software. - Familiarity with AI Image generators like Midjourney, Leonardo.ai, or Stable Diffusion. - Knowledge of frame-by-frame animations and a strong portfolio showcasing your work. - Creative vision, attention to detail, communication skills, and teamwork abilities. - Understanding of UI/UX design principles specific to Game Design. - Familiarity with 3D art software like Blender, ZBrush, and Maya is a plus.
