As a 2D Character Illustrator & Storyboard Cleanup Artist at our creative startup, you will play a crucial role in designing original and expressive characters that bring life to our cinematic 2D universes. Your work will not only define the visual tone and identity of our projects but also enhance the storytelling experience for our audience. **Key Responsibilities:** - Create new character illustrations based on written briefs and descriptions. - Develop full-body character turn-around sheets for both new and existing characters. - Transform rough storyboard frames into clean, detailed illustrations with correct proportions and facial consistency. - Add facial expressions, refine poses, and enhance visual storytelling as per the given direction. - Maintain style consistency across multiple episodes and character appearances. - Collaborate closely with animators to ensure that assets are clean and production-ready. - Work in tandem with the creative director to match the cinematic tone and mood of the series. **Qualifications Required:** - Strong drawing fundamentals including anatomy, perspective, and proportions. - Proficiency in digital art tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Clip Studio Paint, or Krita. - Ability to adapt to an established art style and maintain consistency. - Good sense of expression, silhouette, and visual clarity. - Attention to detail and patience for cleanup-heavy work. - Prior experience in 2D animation pipelines or character cleanup work is preferred but not mandatory.
