2D Animator and Illustrator

As a 2D Animator and Illustrator in Educational & Interactive Media at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Amritapuri Campus, your role involves designing and animating engaging visual content to support interactive and educational modules. You will create high-quality 2D assets such as character illustrations, backgrounds, props, and UI elements to bring learning scenarios to life in a visually compelling and easy-to-understand format. **Key Responsibilities:** - Work closely with storyboarding artists, instructional designers, and Unity developers to integrate visual elements into Virtual Skill Lab (VSL) modules and other digital learning platforms. - Develop frame-by-frame animations, motion graphics, and rigged character animations that reflect real-world skill training. - Maintain organized asset libraries, incorporate feedback from stakeholders, and adapt animations based on project needs. - Ensure attention to detail, consistency in style, and meet visual design standards. - Utilize a good balance between creative flair and practical application, focusing on learner engagement and clarity. **Qualifications Required:** - Bachelors degree or diploma in Animation, Fine Arts, Illustration, or a related field. - Proficiency in Adobe Animate, After Effects, Photoshop, and Illustrator. - Strong understanding of 2D animation principles, character rigging, and visual timing. - Ability to design illustrations, backgrounds, UI elements, and infographics for instructional content. - Basic knowledge of Unity and animation integration workflows is a plus. This position also entails experience in creating animations aligned with real-life skill training or learning modules, working collaboratively with instructional teams and storyboarding artists, attention to detail, creativity, consistency in style, and adaptability to feedback. Familiarity with Unity and asset integration processes is an added advantage, and experience in eLearning or educational animation is preferred.
