We are seeking a candidate with strong foundational SQL skills who can apply those skills to solve problems independently. The candidate should be able to think logically about concepts like counts, ranking, deduplication, and aggregation in a business context. During the client interviews, the client typically presents scenarios (see a few below) and asks candidates to explain their approach, not to write SQL live, but to walk through how theyd use different functions to transform data. A few SQL concepts the client typically asks about include: basic queries (count, filtering with where clauses), joins, aggregations, windows functions (row number, rank, etc.), and unpivot to name a few. At a minimum we expect: Advanced SQL development skills Experience with at least one relational DB (in order of relevance): Snowflake, SQL Server, Postgres, Redshift, Oracle Hands on working experience with GIT or an equivalent (branching, merging, code management, etc.) Strong communication skills.
