Position Overview: The Head of Faculty at École Intuit Lab plays a pivotal leadership role in shaping the academic vision, upholding the quality of teaching, and strengthening the overall learning environment. This role requires a deep understanding of design education, strategic thinking, and the ability to inspire and support a dynamic academic team. Key Responsibilities: 1. Academic Program Management ● Define and lead the academic vision and goals of the institution. ● Oversee the design, review, and enhancement of academic programs. ● Collaborate with faculty and department heads to keep curricula aligned with industry trends and pedagogical innovation. ● Monitor learning outcomes and initiate the development of new programs where relevant. 2. Faculty Recruitment and Development ● Lead the recruitment of diverse, highly qualified faculty members. ● Design and implement structured faculty development programs. ● Conduct regular evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and foster continuous improvement. ● Ensure systematic department meetings and incorporation of student feedback in academic decisions. 3. Teaching and Learning Excellence ● Promote a culture of pedagogical innovation and academic excellence. ● Support faculty in developing engaging and student-centered learning strategies. ● Encourage the adoption of best practices in assessment, evaluation, and feedback. 4. Academic Policy Development ● Work with the EIL leadership team to draft, review, and refine academic policies. ● Ensure policies are clearly communicated and consistently applied. ● Keep academic policies updated in line with institutional and educational developments. 5. Faculty and Student Support ● Act as a key academic resource and mentor for faculty. ● Coordinate with student services to support learners’ academic journeys. ● Provide academic guidance and counseling to students as needed. 6. Collaborative Partnerships ● Build and maintain partnerships with external academic and industry organizations. ● Explore opportunities for collaborative teaching, research, and knowledge exchange. 7. Budget and Resource Management ● Collaborate with senior management to plan and manage the academic department budget. ● Ensure optimal allocation of academic resources to support teaching and learning goals. Qualifications & Skills: ● Advanced degree in Design, Education, or a related field. ● Minimum 8–10 years of experience in academic leadership, faculty management and/or equivalent professional experience in design or creative education. ● Strong interpersonal and communication skills. ● Proven ability to lead teams and manage academic operations effectively. ● Experience in curriculum development and academic policy implementation.
