Role Description The Assistant Project Engineer – Entry to Mid Level supports engineering projects by assisting senior engineers in planning, designing, executing, and monitoring technical tasks. This role provides hands-on experience in project engineering, including documentation, technical coordination, and compliance with engineering standards. The Assistant Project Engineer ensures that project deliverables are completed accurately, on time, and within budget, while gaining practical exposure to engineering processes and project management. Key Responsibilities Assist senior engineers in preparing project plans, schedules, and technical documentation. Support the design, development, and implementation of engineering solutions according to project specifications. Conduct research, calculations, and analysis to support engineering tasks and decision-making. Monitor project progress, track milestones, and report updates to senior engineers and project managers. Coordinate with internal teams, contractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth execution of project activities. Assist in preparing technical drawings, schematics, and reports. Support quality control and compliance with engineering standards, safety regulations, and company policies. Maintain accurate project documentation, including logs, reports, and records of technical changes. Identify potential technical issues and collaborate with the team to develop solutions. Participate in site visits, inspections, and testing activities as required. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by suggesting process enhancements. Support post-project evaluations to capture lessons learned and best practices for future projects. Skills and Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or relevant Engineering discipline. 1–7 years of experience in engineering support, project coordination, or related roles. Proficiency in engineering software, CAD tools, and Microsoft Office Suite. Basic understanding of project management principles and engineering standards. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking abilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams. Attention to detail and strong organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
