z/OS System Programming Engineer

You are sought after to fill the position of z/OS System Programming Engineer for our client, with a substantial experience of 10 years, out of which at least 8 years should be relevant. The job location will be in either Bangalore or Mumbai, and you will be required to work during EST time from 5:30 PM to 3 AM or on rotational shifts. The work will be carried out from the client's office premises. As a z/OS System Programming Engineer, your primary responsibility will be the design and upkeep of the operating environment that is pivotal in delivering the necessary technology, stability, and performance to cater to the computing demands on the Firm's z-platform. To excel in this role, you must possess intermediate to expert level knowledge in zOS internals, strong expertise in Catalog management, exceptional troubleshooting abilities, and the capacity to work efficiently during high-pressure scenarios such as system outages in production. Proficiency in USS/OMVS, experience in z/OS and ISV software installations, excellent testing skills, understanding of HCD/Hardware, and REXX experience are essential requirements. Desirable skills include Assembler skills for usermods maintenance and dump reading, familiarity with zOSMF, rest APIs, Kafka, ansibles, python, and other contemporary zOS technologies.
