Position Summary The Construction Recruiter is responsible for sourcing, screening, and placing qualified construction professionals in temporary, temp-to-hire, and direct-hire roles. This position requires a strong understanding of the construction industry, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build relationships with both candidates and clients. Key Responsibilities Source and recruit skilled tradespeople and construction professionals through online job boards, social media, referrals, and networking. Screen applicants for qualifications, experience, safety compliance, and job readiness. Manage end-to-end recruitment for construction roles, including job posting, interviewing, background checks, and onboarding. Build and maintain a strong pipeline of construction talent (e.g., carpenters, electricians, laborers, plumbers, equipment operators, site supervisors). Partner with clients to understand project needs, workforce requirements, and job specifications. Match qualified candidates to open positions and ensure timely job placements. Conduct regular check-ins with placed employees and clients to ensure satisfaction and retention. Maintain accurate candidate and client information in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) or CRM. Stay informed about construction market trends, wage rates, and workforce availability. Attend job fairs, trade shows, and networking events to promote staffing services. Qualifications 2+ years of recruiting experience, preferably within construction, skilled trades, or light industrial staffing. Strong understanding of construction roles, certifications, and safety requirements (e.g., OSHA, NCCER). Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills. Ability to manage multiple job orders and candidate pipelines simultaneously. Proficiency in recruiting tools and platforms (e.g., Indeed, LinkedIn, ZipRecruiter, Bullhorn). Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow-up. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
