ob Title: QA Engineer – Python Automation Location: Any Cognizant Office in India Experience Required: Minimum 5+ years Contract Salary: INR 4 Lakhs to 7 Lakhs per annum No additional benefits About the Role: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced QA Engineer with strong expertise in test automation using Python. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in designing and executing test plans, writing automated and manual test scripts, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure product quality. Experience with GUI testing tools like Squish is a plus but not mandatory. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Python. Write Python code to support manual testing workflows and test data generation. Create and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases (manual and automated). Perform functional, regression, integration, and system testing. Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other QA team members to identify and resolve issues. Analyze test results, identify root causes of defects, and provide detailed reports. Continuously improve test coverage and automation frameworks. Participate in code reviews and contribute to QA best practices. Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. Minimum 5 years of experience in software testing and QA. Strong proficiency in Python for writing test scripts and supporting manual testing. Experience with test automation frameworks (e.g., PyTest, Robot Framework). Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI). Good understanding of software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with testing tools such as Squish . Knowledge of version control systems like Git. Exposure to cloud environments and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes). Experience in performance and security testing is a plus.
