🔧 Key Roles & Responsibilities1. Preparation SupportAssist chefs in basic preparation tasks like chopping, peeling, grating, and weighing ingredients. Prepare trays, pans, molds, and utensils as per the daily production list. Help with pre-portioning ingredients for different batches. 2. Cleaning & HygieneMaintain cleanliness of workstations, shelves, floors, and walls. Wash, sanitize, and organize all utensils, equipment, and surfaces before and after use. Handle waste disposal properly in designated bins and areas. 3. Packing & LabellingAssist in packing cakes, pastries, fillings, ice creams, and other products as instructed. Label all packed items with date, quantity, and product name. Ensure correct packaging materials are used to maintain hygiene and product quality. 4. Stock Management SupportHelp unload, check, and store raw materials as per FIFO (First In First Out) system. Inform the supervisor when items are running low or if raw materials are damaged/expired. Ensure ingredients are stored in the right temperature and containers. 5. Machine AssistanceSupport operating basic kitchen equipment like grinders, mixers, and ovens under supervision. Clean machines after use and report any malfunctions immediately. 6. Team SupportWork with other helpers and chefs to ensure smooth kitchen operations. Respond quickly to any urgent tasks or additional help needed during peak hours. Maintain a positive and cooperative attitude with the team. 7. Safety ComplianceFollow kitchen safety rules related to fire, burns, cuts, and sanitation. Wear gloves, apron, cap, and any other required PPE at all times. If you love working with fresh ingredients, perfecting techniques, and creating desserts that people photograph before they eat—this is for you. You’ll be working directly under our Head Chef and be involved in daily production, prep, plating, and assisting with new product development.
