Key Responsibilities:- A. In-Process & Final Quality Control Inspect moulded plastic parts at start-up, in-process, and final stages. Check key quality parameters: shrinkage, warpage, sink marks, flash, short shots, colour variation, burn marks, bubbles, weld lines. Verify quality of raw materials (granules, masterbatch, additives). Approve initial samples and first-off parts before production runs. B. Documentation & Compliance Maintain inspection reports, rejection logs, and calibration records. Prepare and update Quality Plans, SOPs, and Work Instructions. Support ISO 9001, IATF 16949, and customer audits. Ensure proper labelling and segregation of OK, Rejected, and Rework materials. C. Process & Defect Analysis Perform root cause analysis for dimensional, surface, and functional defects. Collaborate with production to optimize process parameters (temperature, pressure, cycle time, cooling). Suggest preventive actions to reduce scrap, rework, and rejection. D. Team Leadership & Training Supervise QC inspectors and quality checkers on the shop floor. Train operators on defect identification, mould handling, and quality awareness. Enforce discipline, safety rules, and 5S practices. E. Customer & Cross-Functional Coordination Address customer complaints related to product quality and coordinate corrective actions. Support quality aspects of new product development trials. Coordinate with production, maintenance, and design teams to ensure defect-free moulded parts.
