Job Description: Manager– SHG Empowerment & Disability Inclusion Location: Bangalore 0rganization: Youth4Jobs Foundation We are seeking a dynamic, tech-savvy individual who enjoys working with underprivileged communities, to lead a high-impact project focused on empowering women with disabilities through Self-Help Groups (SHGs) across Karnataka. This role involves close collaboration of Youth4Jobs with the Government of Karnataka to implement sustainable livelihood initiatives. You should be fluent in Kannada, open to extensive travel, and experienced in managing community-driven projects. Key Responsibilities: Liaison: Act as the primary link between Youth4Jobs and the Government of Karnataka to ensure effective communication and coordination. Program Implementation: Oversee and manage the rollout of the SHG empowerment project across multiple districts. Progress Monitoring: Regularly monitor and evaluate the project’s progress, troubleshooting on-ground challenges, and making adjustments as needed. Community Engagement: Travel frequently across Karnataka to engage with local communities, SHGs, and key stakeholders, facilitating on-ground activities and sensitization. Capacity Building: Organize and lead training sessions for CRPs SHG members, with a focus on the inclusion of women with disabilities. Reporting: Ensure timely and accurate reporting of project outcomes, sharing insights with key partners. Qualifications and Experience: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Management, Social Work, Rural Development, Public Policy, or related fields. 12-15 years of experience, managing large projects working with community and markets. Experience collaborating with government agencies, NGOs, and community Skills and Competencies: Strong leadership, project management, and communication skills in Kannada and English. Ability to manage diverse stakeholders, including government bodies, NGOs, and community groups. Familiarity with government schemes, SHG structures, and rural development programs. Tech-savvy and experienced in using project management software and data analysis tools.
