Our Data Team is growing, and we are looking for a Data Engineer to complement our existing database development and maintenance function. You’ll work with the Data Engineering team and other stakeholders to design, develop and maintain a first class database solution to support reporting, analysis and data solution functions within the Company. Your day-to-day Support in the design, build and maintain data warehouse schemas Support in the design, build and maintain ETL procedures from Platform and external data sources Utilise existing tool sets to build and maintain BI Services Work with Platform team to understand Platform architecture and functionality Support in the implementation a full stack solution from source image to access layer databases Maintain effective development and UAT environments to support a rapidly changing business Collaborate to establish best practice design and implementation processes Maintain audit and reconciliation safeguards in ETL processes and BI Services Ensure accuracy and consistency in all managed DWH datasets Collaborate in DWH technical developments Liaise with Platform and Business teams to support Platform development to be conducive for downstream data consumption Optimize databases to ensure efficient / quick data consumption Optimize DWH processes to ensure a low data latency Integrate additional data sources into the DWH environment with support from the Business Intelligence team. Your background and mindset 3+ years working in a technical data warehouse environment A good understanding of ETL tools and processes Experience in data warehouse technical architecture Experience of end-to-end DWH implementation A good understanding of MongoDB or similar database Online Gaming or e-commerce experience Familiarity working with Amazon Redshift, Firehose and other Amazon data services Node.js / Python scripting experience an advantage Have a strong work ethic and be proactive You will have a pragmatic and flexible approach to problem solving with a strong eye for detail Challenging nature Show more Show less
